Using the manufacturing expertise he gained first as a form tool maker and then as the owner of a successful tool shop, Lou has made sure the company has kept pace with the rapidly changing manufacturing environment.

Our modern 100,000 sq. ft. facility is conveniently located between Boston and New York and flying into the Hartford airport is far easier than dealing with the mega airports.

In keeping with the general trend towards increased specialization, Industrial Surplus has chosen to put emphasis on several areas including CNC retrofits and reconditioning and retrofitting milling machines, Cincinnati brand products in particular. In fact, the company is probably the leading authority on Cincinnati production style mills. This retrofit process marries the best of the old and the new, the heavy duty construction and inherent stability of older machinery and the reliability, speed and accuracies that the new electronics bring.
